Well, having an unusual name certainly helps with this cpdThing!
My first go-round of searching for "Katy Manck" brought up my real-blog http://BooksYALove.blogspot.com and my work with the International Association of School Librarianship www.iasl-online.org especially our GiggleIT Project (free online writing & creativity showcase for students 10-14, with lesson plans & ideas for TLs as sponsors) http://www.iasl-online.org/sla/giggleIT/index.htm - most results related to my book reviewing & IASL.
Checking for my name as "Kathryn" netted fewer results, specifically those relating to me as an alumna of the University of North Texas graduate library school or of Austin College (undergraduate).
Not too many crazy photos, although I do wish that the pix of me riding the camel at Uluru in Australia hadn't been mangled in the camera's memory before I could upload them!

When I first googled myself I came up with another author from the US who does lesbian fiction. I'm a fantasy writer and it was a little sad to find that my name.com was already taken, but I worked my way around it. I was looking for a way to contact you in relation to a possible book review, but just thought I'd leave a comment instead. M L Sawyer
Hi Katy
I'm also doing 23 Things for CPD and EduMooc 2011 (my first). Are you finding it just a little bit difficult to keep up! Love your blog but was dismayed to see that you were facing the same challenges re tech tools for learning and blocking in school in 2008 that I'm facing today.
@Judith- I'm woefully behind on my cpd23 postings as I'm prepping for International Assoc School Librarianship conference in Jamaica 7-11 August (I'm treasurer & am presenting on GiggleIT student writing project).
And I freely confess to just lurking on EduMOOC right now!! If I have time to read the summary e-mail of GoogleGroups comments everyday, I feel like that's a victory! There's a Facebook Group left-over from CCK11 (another MOOC earlier this year) and several repeat MOOCers are using it as a back-channel - easier to deal with several dozen folks than thousands!

Wow...two blogs!!!
I am following both and now I will have even less time to read!!!
Patty - thanks for jogging my memory about this blog! I've been so busy building up the recommendations list at BooksYALove that I'd completely forgotten that I had it!
Let's see what interesting bits I can come up with over here, shall we?
